Update Notifier was updated this morning to work with Firefox 2.0 and Thunderbird 2.0Beta1 . This handy little extension automatically checks for updates to your installed (enabled or disabled) extensions and themes and will notify you when there is an update. It also has a ‘restart’ option which is handy when switching themes. Update Notifier 0.1.5.1

Doesn’t Firefox 2.0 make Update Notifier obsolete? Apparently it automatically checks for updates to extensions and themes every once in a while.
I would have thought so as well, but it doesn’t seem to “notify” you in anyway unless you go into the add-ons manager and look for an ‘updates’ tab.
