As mentioned in today’s Weekly Update Meeting, there is newly revised TBird 3 Milestone Schedule. The most noticeable about this new schedule is that does not include the final milestone, the release and the code freeze for the last build does not occur until January 2009. I was kinda hoping to see TBird 3 be released around the same time as Fx 3.1 this December, but based on this schedule this is not going to happen.
Here is the current TBird3 Milestone Schedule (subject to change):
- 3.0b1 String Freeze — September 2, 2008
- 3.0b1 Code Freeze — September 9, 2008
- 3.0b2 String Freeze — October 28. 2008
- 3.0b2 Code Freeze* — November 4, 2008
- 3.0rc1 String Freeze — November 18, 2008
- 3.0rc1 Code Freeze — January 13, 2009
* Beta 2 Code freeze also marks the end of any new additional TBird 3 features as well as ab extension API freeze
