Could it be a sign that there is a major consumer resistance to migrating to Windows Vista? Last week Microsoft extended the cut-off date for Windows XP sales. Microsoft says this was brought on by consumer feedback. With the extension, major computer makers will be allowed to continue offering Windows XP through June 30, 2009. For the smaller makers though, the cut-off is still January 30, 2009. However the Windows XP Starter Edition which is available on ‘ultra-low-cost’ PC’s will be available through June 30, 2010.
